Sniff, sniff...that is bittersweet isn't it?

Your post brings me to a loss for words as I am reminded of my own Dad, real Dad \:\) , who struggled thru so much adversity in his life but became a tremendous success by his sole efforts and brought forth a large and devoted family who surrounded him with love and held his hands as he recently passed away. My family too, is doing well but also miss him very much as our first Father's Day without him approaches.

That's probably TMI...sorry...in any case, unlike your Manchu my Dad only had 6 children and 1 girlfriend, my Mom, ... his one and only wife of 51 years. But similarly, thier sufferage brought forth a strong lineage that will endure indefinately.

Boo Yah! Oh yeah! Uh huh! Whoooo Hoooo! Yes, the tides brought another one of those barrels!

Babies, babies, babies...three 10 year olds...two girls and one boy! And one of the girls is even blonde...sniff with joy...my first since VV3 release...

After over 100 village years without a breedable female...survival is on the horizon...sniff, sniff...it brings tears to my eyes...sigh...there is nothing quite like the satisfaction of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. \:\)

Thank you, Dr. Bethlham!
I have a nasty cold/flu _bug_ and reading your saga has really cheered me up. What a roller coaster ride you have been on - here and in your real life - so it's nice to see adversity cannot touch your wonderful sense of humor! I sure feel sorry for those little girls in about 8 game years, though.

OT - My condolences on the loss of your dad. I lost a mom like that 2 years ago. Time heals, so just hang in there.

I read a quote, though I can't remember by whom, "Courage doesn't always come with a roar, sometimes it is a quiet whisper at the end of a day saying 'I will try again tomorrow'". Well, I think that perserverance worked here! \:\)

And ledheadmelli, \:D about those girls! I hope professional motherhood won't be considered cruelty! Well, with aromatherapy, flowers, candles, a lovely warm lavender bath, fresh seafood and a warm fire it can't be that bad. ;\) And I am so glad I was able to share humor with you. If adversity has taught me one thing it's that smiles are the meaning of life.

OT-Thanks so much for the condolences...really...yours are the only public ones I've received. I felt a little 'posters remorse' thinking players don't want to hear that kind of stuff but my edit time had already passed by time I tried to delete it. I am sorry for your loss as well and I very much appreciate your encouragement. I never realized how much a broken heart could hurt...but I am tenacious and will persist, seeking the comfort time will bring. Thank you, truely. \:\)

Bethlham, I am so happy you got your barrel of babies. That is the event that saved my tribe too! It took some time but they are thriving and doing well. Sorry to read about your dad. I'm sure he is with you always in your heart.

\:\) Thanks and thanks again! You've been so encouraging! My girls have turned 18 and have brought two new arrivals! Ummm...both babies are boys but, both girls are carrying babies again. Plenty of time for a girl...right?!? \:8

Thanks for condolences. I'm sorry for dumping. But I get overwhelmed at times. Part of the process I'm sure, but a kind word sure helps alot. \:\) Thanks again.
