What does it mean when you hear the tinkling of a bell or chime? I keep hearing it throughout the game.

Most of the time when I hear it I can find a mushie laying around and sometimes a collectable or two. Then other times, nothing!

I look for mushrooms and collectibles when I hear it. Most times it's there :o)

There has been a great deal of discussion on this topic in several other threads. The "wind chime" will sound any time you pass over the graveyard. It will also sound randomly during game play when a "breeze" is blowing through the village. It is not an indicator of collectibles (yes this has been verified).

The Gong sound, on the other hand, DOES indicate the presence of a "rare" collectible.
