Can nursing mothers be healed?

I haved tried several times, even with Master Doctors and each time it says they are not successful.

Also, just out of curiousity if by chance a nursing mother dies, does the baby die too?

Nursing mothers can definitely be healed. Sometimes it can take a little persistence. What I often do is try a different villager, even a child, to do the healing. Sometimes moving the sick person to a slightly different place helps, too.

Unfortunately, if a nursing mom dies, the baby will disappear.

Nursing mom finally stayed put and allowed herself to be healed.
I was starting to think she'd have to hold out until after she finished nursing; which was another 40 minutes.
