I have solved the last puzzle. If this is the end, it is very anticlimactic. Is that all there is? Do you just go through the the dialog, and that is all there is to do? It seems like there should be something more...

What would you like, Eric? A Krakatoa? Or even worse, a cruise ship arriving?

If you've played VV1 & VV2 you would know they all have "lame endings".

Like real life; it's not the ending that matters but how you get there.

Well, although I'm still fairly new here (about 6 months into my new LDW life) I think I've learned enough to know that the dialog is probably a hint about the next game! In VV1 we had the cave which indicated that there were others on the island. In VV2 we had the mysterious writings on the wall that indicated some of the tribe had gone off to see who was doing magic again. Now in VV3, we have the dialog at the end that hints that in the future, magic and nature may be reunited to bring back the balance.

I'm sorry, but I disagree about it being anticlimactic. I instead find it to be intriguing, and a hint of what may yet come!

those of you that finished...is the last puzzle showing completed in your game? I got the ghosts, saw the story, but when I go to puzzles it is showing as not achieved...am I missing something?

Sannu - I guess the issue is that the ghosts at the end hint toward a reconciliation between the factions. It makes me think there is more that I have to do, like maybe finding a way to start a second tribe with the other faction. Like you, I now think this points to a Virtual Villagers 4. It might not be so bad, except this one was trivial to solve, taking 7 days. And this is with me working 50 hours a week.

I feel jipped.

The number of casual games that keep you playing for 7 days is very small.

The number of casual games that keep you playing for 7 days AND are fun to replay is even smaller.

I'm still playing VV and VV2 all this time later. The only other game I'm still playing years after buying it is Sims 2, and that isn't a casual game... and doesn't cost under $20, either.

Just sayin'.....

I know what you mean but as Tuna Puzzler says...you can re-play time and time again. Try it with another faction. Handicap yourself with the number of villagers you have.

I've just played Imperium Romanum...Yawn. Not a keeper. But that's just my take on it. Different strokes for different folks.

If you don't like VV3 just move on...
