I started my second tribe and did things a little differently (focused more on research instead of "building" to uncover every secret).

Am wondering if a certain level or puzzle is required to begin recording deaths on the Roster of The Dead and/or marking graves. There is now no record of the existence of Elder Papaya, the first to die! At the time of her death, the Roster was uncovered, but I had not removed all rubble. Only one other villager has died since then, but her grave is marked and her name is on the Roster (rubble removed by by then).

When Papaya died, I did see some villagers on their way to "Burying the Dead", but could not find her bones.

In memory of Papaya, I thank you!

The roster should be functional the moment it is uncovered completely. I'm not sure why her death wasn't recorded, unless she wasn't buried within 24 hours of her death or the villager carrying her to the cemetery was interrupted before arriving there. I'll do some checking on this, as well.

She died while I was visiting my other tribe...when I clicked back the roster was uncovered and the chief was moving towards ampitheater "burying the dead" (but no visible bones). Maybe she died just before completion?

If the Roster is not yet revealed, would that also prevent villagers from marking the grave?

Thanks so much...just solved #16 w/first tribe and have so enjoyed playing!!

Under normal circumstances, a departed villager should have both a tombstone marking the grave site and an entry on the roster.
