I don't know what just happened, but I was on the verge of a skeleton city, when I came into the forums in a bit of a panic. I was going back and forth from my game to here, trying to keep everyone on the research table and occasionally putting someone on the lift to get a small morsel of food, as the three trees were bare, and the honey, long since dried up. All villagers are working toward a goal of 50k tech points. I don't have any kids that can get mushrooms. I just now checked them, and suddenly they must have gotten a bumper crop on a tree, because they have 253 food now. It looks like they are going to make it after all. Glad I came in here!

TY, Anki. Yes, we must all stick together through the storms in life, eh! Right now this tribe is at 48k, so I think they are gonna make it. This battle has turned Yanuca's hair to grey and weakened him to where he almost died. But he is still living and not giving in to death. Now He is eating and drinking water, hoping to get his health back.

The honey and the trees will get more food, takes some time. I have kept the population down to less then 15 until I was ready to get to level 2 on my faction, that has kept the food in good supply, when I get a child to 14 to start work, I made a child to replace that child so that I always made sure I had someone to get the herbs for potions, the collectibles and the mushrooms. If you use Nature as your faction, the food comes back quicker.

Christel, thanks for your throughts and suggestions. I am trying to replace every baby as they grow up now. I probably shouldn't let my game run overnight, either, but I do, just to let whatever happens be as it is, without constantly micromanaging.

What I've discovered, after watching this tribe today, is that many of them are going over to eat even when their health is full, like they are bored and just eating just to eat. I have 2 tribes, and one tribe always had food, but this one always seemed lacking. Both of my tribes, for some reason are magic. I thought I had made one of them nature, but not. So I am starting a 3rd tribe today that will try the nature faction.
