Chief can be a Mom or Dad - who knew!

I don't suppose the children will be little Chiefs, though.

In the beginning my first game I had my Chief be the mom because I had more boys than girls and it didn't take away from any workers. She was the only one until I had unlimited food.

I have two tribes with children as chiefs. It has its pros and cons (the biggest con being that every once in a while they want to "run around", "play in dirt", or Nature Calls!!

When they grow up they can be Mom or Dad.

Another thing I'm surprised that an adult Chief can do is gather wood and grass and start or restart the fire.

And - I'm not sure about this yet - Chief can heal people but only if either he is still a child, or he accumulated some Healing skill before becoming Chief.

My chief is a man - my population was at 12, everything was well under control - and then when I was gone for maybe 15 minutes, the stinker went and got 2 of my Master Scientists pregnant!

the cheif can heal w/o prior skill just like any other villager, but he wont heal anyone w/o help from the "guiding hand". He'll just be "concerned for the sick" until you drop him on the afflicted person
