Now that I have a chief, what can I make her do besides giving more food? Do I need a higher level in something, and if so, which one?

If you look at the Tech tab in the game and then the ? beside leadership it will tell you what the chief can do.

I have had nothing buy women chiefs. Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them?

I've started 3 tribes, and all 3 have been female. (One is a child)

I've started two tribes and both chiefs are male (one a child).

Children are the best as they don't do any work anyway. One of your Masters turning into Chief is a waste..

I've only had one Chief start as a child. He was male.

Sadly, I've seen Chiefs get sick. And I had one die of starvation. They are no sturdier than common folk.

since all my chiefs are female I make them the main baby breeders ( since they hardly do anything). No Children yet.

That's OK as long as you are not short of food. I don't think a lady chief can mnake magic food while she is expecting.

My chief was walking around with a babe in arms and I clicked on the food bin to see what would happen. She made "magic" food. So yes, she can still do that.

My chief is male if you touch the door in the amphitheater with him he will lecture.
