I'm playing three! It doesn't seem to hurt my first tribe, which is always special because it's the first. Having multiple tribes is actually fun during the "down-times" when one tribe is building tech points or working on a large project. But that's just me!
I have two tribes because of the faction differences. The first trib gets the most attention though, its the one that I'm trying to finish first. I got the second to basic self sufficientcy and only check on them a few times a day. Once the first tribe has everythig, I'll concentrate on the second more.

You could always pause the first one while you play with another. I like to have more than one going so I can compare how quickly they're doing what they're supposed to. Marcey
