I've purchased VV3 (LOOOOVE IT!!)

I have a desktop and a laptop for travel and I wanted to know if there was any way for me to load VV3 onto both of my computers?

Has anyone else done this?

Would it be possible that the IP was tracked to verify that it was indeed the same owner, same home, etc?

Excellent -- thank you so much! I had not tried it because I didn't want to send off some alert that would have my game turned off or something. I'm glad to know this and I'll get it installed on the laptop

Ya i tried it on my 2 laptops it works. I think thts the benifit while u buy frm LDW, i buy vv2 frm Yahoo it works only on 1 system.

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. My Villagers 1 & 2 have 5 villages each, long standing, and before I paused them on my old laptop... I haven't moved them to my new one. I'm lost to how I transfer the game files. OR -- can I load game on my new one & start over plus keep the old one running for points. I was on top 50 highscore about 3 mths ago prior to pausing.

will this game, as the 2 previous, become available on CD?

If you're asking about the boxed retail version that will become available in stores, yes it will, but it takes several months. You can read more in Carla's answer here.

I sent an e-mail to Support about this because my savedgame files will not transfer. I would copy and paste it here, but it has already been sent (I've lost what I wrote). It seems a lot easier than it was in my case, and I have yet to get this to work.

They should transfer fine, just like copying any file from one computer to another, but you need to make sure that you are putting them in the correct location.

There is more than one Library\Preferences folder on a Mac, and the files must be placed in the preferences folder for the currently logged on user at the time the game is launched in order for VV3 to find them. For example, if you are logged on to your Mac as brady.gower, the savegame folder will be brady.gower\Library\Preferences\LDW\Virtual Villagers - The Secret City.
