I let my fire go out - oops - but there's a gem in the ashes!
However, every time I drag a villager to it, it says "Ouch! The gem is too hot to pick up!", and villager runs off.
I even waited until it rained, but no luck.
Is there a potion I should be using?

It would be helpful to people who haven't gotten that far if you wouldn't put the spoiler in the subject line. The spoiler tag isn't nearly as effective when you "spill the beans" (so to speak) in the subject.

is there always a gem in the fire? mine went out & when i took different villagers to it there was no gem or nothing about being too hot

There's more to it than just letting the fire go out.

I;m a little curious as to what it is...mine just happened! lol and I NEED THAT FIRE FOR #5!!!

I wondered about that too...I have no idea what precipitated the gem appearing, it was just there when I hadn't even really done anything.

Not that I'm complaining! Solving a puzzle is always good
