WHY WHEN I BOUGHT VV3 IT HAS TO BE REVIEWED (MY PURCHASE) BEFORE I CAN PLAY THE GAME?

It's Plimus, our e-commerce provider. Sigh...it is annoying. Every one has its problems, but Plimus does generally get it done without a lot of hassle. Give them an hour or two.

My transaction has been pending for almost 6 hours now, and there's been some weird stuff with phone calls to my house and no one answering when I tried to call back. Is that normal? Because it seems a little sketchy to me.

I'm sure the phone calls have nothing to do with it. I would be willing to bet money on that. But good luck.

When I purchased VV3, my phone number was required, and shortly thereafter, I received an *automated* call asking me to approve the purchase. I did so. They called back again, and I hung up. They haven't called again.

The area code was: 408

I had the same problem with plimus. They called I didnt answer since I didnt know the number and it was late at night. Got an email shortly after that saying they were unable to reach me and to follow the link to fill out a form for a better time to call. Filled it out and never did get a call but about half an hour later was approved

I paid via paypal then it was passed to plinus & I got the game downloaded my only problem was no code whick the guys here resolved very quickly. Thanks to Arthur, Carla & ladyCF11 who must have been harrassed with all the issues appearing in shoutbox & some of which were less than patient. Thanks again from one very satisfied customer. vv3 is A+++++++

I got the same thing but I did answer the call (was a California #) and it was an automated thing asking me to verify the purchase. I did that and my game was activated right away. But I agree, very annoying. I'm used to paying thru paypal or credit card and having the game available for d/l right away.

Despite the processing problems, I do love the game though (and all the LDW games)! Maybe consider switching your processor?

I'm just guessing here, but, because of the rise in fake transactions, Plimus are really looking out for our interests. Perhaps one in every hundred (or whatever) is automatically chosen for a spot check to make sure there's no funny business. Because there's been such a huge number buying VV3 a high percentage of their spot checks have been for that.

Still, Carla has now spoken to them (as mentioned in the News and Announcements thread) so there should be no more problems.

There's no way to provide an accurate estimate, since a lot depends upon mail delivery time, too.

My purchase was approved around 5 minutes after I paid via Pay Pal...no phonecalls either.

I have a verified business account though, so maybe that makes a difference.
