That's how Palm OS devices work. Due to the Palm architecture, all programs must be in main memory to run. To accomplish this, the device copies the program from the external card to main memory when you start the application. When you terminate execution, the application's data is updated and the program is usually removed from main memory. However, sometimes the application is left "orphaned" in main memory, and deleting the game from main memory will also remove game data, since Palm OS will remove the application and all application data when you delete an app that way.
