I'm thinking the game should be out sometime this month or the beggining of june... maybe earlier maybe later this is just a guess because May is really getting into Spring so it MIGHT be out maybe the middle or end of the month... but I'm not sure... This is just a guess not an exact date.

Dear Kittenzan, no one is ganging up on you.

There are several threads asking the exact same question right now because everyone is anxious to find out the answer.

Please don't think that anyone is trying purposefully to be mean about this issue. Many of us have been here for months answering questions like these and trying to to give out good advice on waiting. And not specifically to you, nor to anyone here, but to all those reading, including the anonymous users.

Plus, we've been told over and over that LadyCFII, Arthur, and Carla, are all working very hard in these next few moments (however long that may be) to get it just right for us. We trust them (and I know you do too) to do that, and they will give us as much information as possible as it available.

I hope you don't stay upset. No one meant you any harm.

Nobody minds answering valid questions regarding lack of knowledge. What they DO get exasperated with is taking the time to answer your question and you not paying any attention to their posts.

If you don't understand how to find your own postings then I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I can help you out.

We ALL want VV3 to come out soon and we're all impatient, BUT we need to show LadyCFII and the LDW crew respect and trust. They are working really hard to make a game that has the least possible bugs.

kitten, i don't think anybody was trying to be snide or snippy, i think they're just tired of having to answer the same questions over and over to all of us newbies. i am one, and i sit here and shake my head at some of this stuff.

as a newbie myself, i made sure to go back and read the old posts relevant to my questions. i have found that most of the answers are already there. i am also a computer "tard", so i have had many, many questions.

I do speak for myself!!!!!!!! And I was just noticing sooooooooooooooo many comments on release of VV3. So I wanted to know a bit more about what goes into making and releasing a game, didn't realize I would get so much neg. Feedback? I've recently gotten a new userid because I couldn't find my one from wayyyyyy back when I joined the forum for VV2.

Anyway, to comment on a projected release date: I have been a beta (closed beta, private group) tester for several projects in the past. When the QA team or the programmers release any sort of projection, users are bound to take it as GOSPEL and then create angry sentiment that was unnecessary.

With a release as anticipated as VV3, there are people who are going to hold the developers to their word, regardless of whether or not problems arise. When you're programming something as complex as VV3, you're going to encounter errors. There's no way to project how long it will take to fix those errors.

Scenario: The developers project : "First week in December" as their release date. On December 2nd, they discover there's a _bug_ that makes the villagers fly off into the middle of the ocean and not get back to land, just before you beat the game. They are trying to fix it, but by December 6th they're starting to get angry messages "YOU SAID the first week! The first week! There is only one more day in the first week!!!!!" If that _bug_ isn't fixed by the 7th, people will start using the word "Liar" and "cheat" even though they haven't taken any money from anyone.

Ok fine, but how about "in a few weeks" just to placate the public? Same scenario above, but if the _bug_ fixing takes longer than 2.5 weeks, people will start saying "a few! A few is over... LIARS!"

Even "Spring" could get them into trouble if testing takes longer than to the first day of Summer according to the almanac.

They are better off listening to the whining, than the shouts of anger if they cannot meet a projected date or even window.

That's the reality of developing something commercial for a mass audience of rabid fans.

I would suggest you reread your posts before you snap at anyone! You made the following statement:

Yes, I was once a newbie. And I used the Search Funtion to find the answers to my questions. It was only after I couldn't find the answers using Search that I posted my questions.
It doesn't matter if you understand Beta testing or no. When the game is ready to be released, the date will be given. And you don't need to be a newbie to understand that.

I'm afraid tempers are wearing thin closer to the release date Can we all just go back to the wonderful friendliness of these forums from before? The anticipation of the game is half the fun!

I don't think I have ever written on a forum but I have kept up with this one as I, like half of the world population, am curious about the release date of VV3. It seems like tempers are flaring at everyone. Maybe we can all sit back and give Lady, Carla, Kitten, etc...................a little space just be grateful when the game comes to fruition. The purpose of these games is to have us some happy, stress-free time. EVERYBODY deserves that!

I have been a member here for about 3 weeks now but have not posted....just for this reason. I am so afraid that I will ask the wrong thing and have people post to me like they are to Kittenzan62.....I really thought this was a great place to come and relax, read the post and see if everyone else is waiting for vv3 as much as I am, but now I'm not to sure about it, some are being down right rude and if thats how it really is then please count me out. From my experience, these forums are usually very friendly and nice, but sometimes I don't know what's happened. You know that saying "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"? Shakle, you have great understanding and your English is GREAT!! Yes, LadyCFII truly does an admirable job here, especially since she's involved with the games at the same time.

It's easy for us to get upset about not having the game RIGHT NOW! I was upset too for awhile then I realized it was my own expectations that needed adjusting........not the "bugs" on VV3.

The whole crew of LDW deserves all of our thanks and praise for putting out a great game that reaches ALL ages and is such a pleasure to play.

Like a good wine.......VV gets better and better with age!

I agree with Krystal, I didn't see anything snide or snippy with those answers. As a matter of fact, I thought that they were being just trying to be helpful, with everyone saying all the same stuff over and over. I don't think that anyone was picking on anyone. This is the friendliest forum I have seen, thusfar. I guess everyone is just antzy with the game so close to being finished.

Temporary (VV3) Insanity!!!! That's what it was!!

Kitten...i have followed a lot of your posts...as some of them also reflect the way I (as a newbie) have been feeling. I have refrained from posting many times...but like the people above...I agree...if you have a question or a comment you should not stay silent. I definately agree with Krystal...there is an enormous amount of temporary insanity, anticipation, frustration and eagerness for the upcoming release of vv3. Those who have been here longer than us, are most likely experiencing it more than those of us who are new at this forum. The thing to remember I guess is... we are ALL here for the same reason. We cant wait for vv3 to hit our computers. But...lets all keep it in context...we are all from different walks of life, with different languages and lives....we have the wonderful opportunity to make many aquaintances here....instead of getting frustrated at each other...we should all be enjoying the fact that so many different people can be brought together for a common goal!

I dont understand how the games work either I just keep checking 5 times a day. I was worried I had upset someone in the shout box before when I asked what country they were from so I have not hopped on since, your feeling do get hurt and I try not to upset people but I am curious so I ask questions, I read every question and answer as to when the game will come out. I just read this morning that there will be a video released today or tomorrow, that will keep me happy for a little while longer. Cant wait for VV3, I hope when this Island is finished we go to a new one for VV6 thru VV10

I think everyone has had their say, so I'll just let this thread cool off for awhile. Courtesy works both ways. It would be great if everyone remembers that people have to start as newbies, and all of us can be nice and help them figure things out here. Nobody can instantly be an expert at anything. People who are new to any forum, including this one, could help themselves and the community here by taking the time to try to learn their way around. A good place to start is this post.
