Ok I guess I made it a little more complicated than I should have. I structured the questions poorly--some were acutally two questions, others weren't really yes/no. Let me break them down correctly.
1A) Will the same two fish always produce the same third fish? If the answer to this is YES, then the answer to 1B below is NO.
1B) Would the same two given fish ever produce one or more alternate children? If the answer to this is YES, then the answer to 1A above is NO.
2) Was that YES to both questions?
3) Confirming: there are one or more fish that absolutely cannot be bred and must come from eggs.
3B) (New Question) If certain fish can only come from eggs, does that mean I have to keep buying eggs in perpetuity until I "get" the missing fish?
4) Confirming: if I keep cross-breeding same-fish parents, I will eventually expose all fin types.
4B) (New Question) If the answer to 1B above is YES, then that would mean that I would have to perform repeated parings of the same two fish to ensure that I have ALL the fin types, correct?
5A) Do all fish types have all fin types? If the answer to this is YES, then the answer to 5B below is NO.
5B) Are there some combinations that do not exist? If the answer to this is YES, then the answer to 5A above is NO.
Unless I'm missing something.
Thank you for humoring me, Ladycfii!
