I accidently left my first game running and was forced to reset it (all my females had died, and nearly all of the adult men), I hadn't gotten very far, so I figured it would be worth it to start over new.

So second time through I end up with Algae in my water after 10 minutes.

Well I'm not resettting again! The trouble is that I had no dam, no garden, no coconuts, and only about 500 food.

I dropped everyone on the tech table, and sent the children for mushrooms. Likewise, whenever I got enough tech points for an upgrade (the dam, the coconuts, exploration to help me find more mushrooms) everyone was set to help build or farm the new item so that they would survive.

Then the major grind happened yesterday, 90000 points to fix my bloody ocean. ::headdesk:: With only 15 villagers, quickly aging and NOT breeding because there just isn't enough food...

They've made it now. But boy oh boy was that a harsh couple of days. XP No one died, though.
