I recently purchased VV1 and VV2 however, am having difficulty with
VV1 and while looking for help stumbled upon this place.I got hooked three years ago to VV1, thus, only have been allowed to actually buy the game just a few weeks ago (yes, I've started over that many times!)and have not been able to get my population above 10

But I hope that this place will help me enjoy it even more by giving me help !

So, I'm going to introduce my self, and go look for help. I'm sure now I will finally complete more than a few puzzles!

You may need to buy the first hut and build it so there is enough housing

Or maybe you need to buy food save up enough tech points to buy farming.

you can get into both of these things by pressing the tech button on the left side of the screen

Yeah.. I always find I run out of food before I get enough tech points, to buy the third level to go fishing.
Crops just aren't working for me.

Look in the shout box on the right had side and I can talk to you

Hi, here are some tips:
First, put 1 person on the berry bush, and the rest researching.
When it's night time, pause it.(pressing space and then exit the game)

The next day, if you have 250+ food, don't put anyone in the berry bush. If you got enough tech, buy farming. But you don't need anyone to water the crops. However, now you should have some food now. Do this:
Avg Food per villager|Research:Farm
5|5:8
10|5:5
15|5:3
25|5:2
40+|5:1
70+|5:0
Just a tip.
And try to buy like that,
Farm LV2 -> Build LV2 -> Med LV2/Tech LV2 -> Tech LV2/Med LV2 ->Farm LV3 -> And now you don't need to worry about food!
