Why did the progress bar for VV3 have to stop at 99%?! Why didn't it go straight to 100% and prevent us from eagerly awaiting for 99% to turn into 100%!? IT IS PURE TORTURE WAITING!!!

I don't think they have done beta testing yet, so it could take a VERY LONG TIME to get to 100%

I agree also. It was fine at 95% and I actually figured that it would take a couple of months (if not longer) to be ready to purchase.

I have gotten exasperated though that not only is it 99%, but that it has stayed there for a week and there's no telling how much longer it will be there.

Just my opinion, but I would have been much more understanding had it just gone from 95% to 100% and been able to purchase. Having it at 99% for longer than a day or so has lead to frustration.

Of course it also could be that I need to get a life and quit expecting LDW to live up to my expectations too!!

Maybe with VV4 they might leave it at 95% longer.

I know! 99% is the torture of all tortures! I mean its only 1% away from 100%!!!! we are 1 teeny tiny percent from playing this awesome looking game! But at least its not at 99.9% That would really be torture! But 99% is enough torture. It better no be like this much longer or I'll go crazy! But the more we're tortured the more we'll appreciate the game.

But i really hope that beta testing started like a month ago. It could of because it took like almost a month to change it from 95% to 99%. I know, Iknow! I'm most likely in denial.

If they havn't even done Beta testing, the progress wouldn't be at 99%...Beta would start at at least 75%...If not less...
Most of game making is just fixing bugs...Which become known after beta..So ya

I remember reading that Beta testing is started at 70 or 80% to get any and all the bugs out of the games. Just wait and when the bar hits 100% it will be crazy here for like the first 10mins or more, Just Hold Your Cards Until Then, OK??

Yeah, I really think that they started Beta testing a long time ago because they've been putting up pictures for months and if their putting up pictures it most likley means that they're done designing the game. Because if they weren't done they wouldn't be able to give us pictures of the village. And when they finished designing it(if they have) they probably sent it into beta testing right away. Am I right?

That's soooooo true!! Also when they're almost ready to kick the bucket but only have a teeny tiny way to go before they're Esteemed Elders!! I yell at them then too! They pay about as much attention to me as LDW should pay to me for belly-aching about the game not being out already.

It's just I want the game so doggone badly that I have ants in my pants (so to speak). It looks so pretty and so interesting and soooooo different that I can't wait. It also borders on torture to check every day only to be disappointed.

BUT one wonderful day I'm gonna check in and viola.....it will finally be here and I won't get ANYTHING done until it's downloaded and played until I figure it ALL out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do the same thing. I seriously check at least 3 times on saturday AND sunday. And then on weekdays I check 1 time a day. But I do check daily just hoping even though somethings telling me it will be exactly the same as the day before. And sure enought. It's exactly the same.

And Surprisingly, when I came on and saw that it was 99% done. I was wasn't happy. My heart dropped. Because I thought for sure it would go to 100% the next time it changed.

But I know on the "glorious" day when I go on and VV3 is done, I will probably pass out.

Terrible as it sounds, some days I DON'T check the site just so when I remember to, my heart beats a little faster hoping there's no longer the "coming soon" message.

But, regardless, I don't want it to be released until I'm done with my final year exams at uni... I don't think "Got addicted to Virtual Villagers" is enough of a reason to get an extension (though definately should be!)

Not that I know of..! If the game does come out before exams and I just buy THEM all a copy, maybe they won't even get around to writing the exams.

Putting my husband on a plane back to Iraq after two wonderful weeks is hard. When the internet and phone lines are down and a week passes before I hear from him is torture.
