Please someone help my poor builder. He's working his butt off to become a Mater Builder but his experience bar seems to be stuck. It's been 24 hours now and he's working like mad and it says he is improving but the bar won't move. I'm afraid I'm going to kill him with work!!

I forgot to look and see if you're playing VV1 or VV2, but either way it takes a really long time to get a master builder. If you're playing in hard mode, it makes it even harder. All I can say, is be patient, it will happen.

I've played it lots of times, I know it takes a while but I think this is some sort of _bug_. Two other of my builders that I started at the same time are already Masters, I've built the Sewing Hut, cleared the thorns and built a hut and this poor guy is stuck between Adept and Master and doesn't seem to move on the experience bar at all!!

Every villager has a slightly different "personality" and innate abilities that you can't see. Some villagers learn more slowly than others. Since the bar increases in segments, you won't see an increase until the villager has "earned" enough skill to get the next segment.

Once your villager is adept, it takes like 50 times of doing that task to make your bar go up a notch... its even harder with building. Don't worry, he'll eventually make it.

Thanks for all the replies.I have this game on Easy/2X speed.I started my villager on building at the same time as two others, one has been a Master Builder for two days, the other yesterday afternoon. It's 9:15 Eastern time now and my problem builder has been an adept builder for 29 hours. He was 17 when he became an adept builder and he's 32 now. My actual point is, I keep moving him to tasks, he does it, it says Your villager has improved at construction, but on the details screen the blue bar doesn't move, hasn't for ages, and I had no problem up until this particular point on the experience bar, then it just stopped.I guess it's not life and death but it is frustrating!!!

As I said earlier, villagers have innate traits that you can't see that affect how quickly they progress. Just like real people learn at different rates, so do the villagers. They aren't all the same, and you'll be frustrated if you expect them to be.

Understood, but perhaps it should be a little clearer. Maybe it should not tell you he's improved at construction when he obviously hasn't, then we wouldn't expect the experience bar to move! Thanks for your help anyway, I think I'll just leave him alone and worry about getting some tech points instead.
