I have had a few questions about Isola when I have played the games. Here is the first batch:

Where is Isola located?

Why are the huts so low tech but the stores so high tech (glass walls, cash register, ect.)

Why hasn't the florist's (PT) or fish store (FT) been built so far in the VV games?

If anyone can answer any of these or has some more questions, please post them.

OK, here are a few. The PT plant store and the FT fish store aren't actually in Isola. At least I don't think. So, the stores are a bit more high tech. I'm pretty sure Isola is just an uncharted island in the middle of the ocean. (I've always assumed it was the Pacific Ocean, but that's just me)

Does this help?

Yes, but in PT and FT it says you are on Isola, just so you know.

Actually, the PT/FT games only say that the seeds/fish are FROM Isola. \:\) There's no mention of actually still being ON Isola. \:\)

Although, that could be in VV3..? What IS on the north side of the island anyway? hehe

There is an island event (I think it's in VV1) where a guy arrives in a boat and is caught taking seeds from the various plants. You have a choice on what to do... but I won't put up the spoiler for that one...

I hope that helps! \:D

I've had that, thanks! It also said that the water in PT was from Isola, and it said you are searching for the magic plants...

Yep. And sometimes they wonder off to the far corners of the island. Often, when I get back to the game I find them in the corners in twos like they were telling each other secrets! hehe \:D

I have a question. Does anyone know if you can change the price of seeds in PT?

What if PT and FT are ahead of VV1 and VV2 in time, like few centuries later?

Timeline might go something like this.

VV1 to VV2 to VV3 to PT or FT.

How about.....

VV1 to VV2 to VV3, PT and FT!

Maybe they'll be in the VV3 game! And we'll get to run the stores,
Virtual Villagers 3 = 3 in 1 PT FT and VV3!

Maybe, maybe. Has anyone noticed that all VV intros have to do with water? VV1: Build a boat and sail to Isola VV2: Fall down a waterfall VV3: One of the pictures, an intro I'm positive, shows them on a raft.

Sometimes when I play FT I click on the posters in the store for tips. A few times, it told me," Here on Isola , we use Isola bucks!" Doesn't the part I underlined mean that the store is on Isola? \:o

Could be, but wouldn't the graphics have developed since then? Oh yeah, they do have cars, you can see in the villagers' thoughts.

Or maybe it's a theme park that they call Isola but is not the real Isola! I'd like to think that our villagers remained isolated from such modern things as cell phones and TVs. \:\)

I completely forgot about the Isola Bucks!!
Maybe PT and FT are the future of Isola! \:\)

Maybe our mission is to save Isola through finding the magic fish and plants....
I wonder if LDW has a game in mind for that....

Since in all of the games, Isola is refered to as "a remote island", I just figured that the people in FT and PT resembled the villagers because we are still working on Isola puzzles.

Perhaps the FT store is an Isola Mall!
And maybe the PT nursery is on a hill over-looking the Isola Ocean!

What do you guys think??? \:D

Well, the FT and PT would probably be on the same island.

Remember today there are such tribes living now as I seen them on tv and also a tribe came to England to do the 26 mile marethon in London to get water for their tribe. so they be the simaler thing and may be they have a modern Isola where there are cars and such

Maybe, but the villagers on the hi-tech Isola wouldn't all have the ripped castaway clothing, would they?

I think it's all one island but FT and PT are the furture of our villages so the villagers die and after 2000 years we have their desendents in FT and PT

Okay, I thought of another question.

About how big is Isola?

You could probably find out aproximatly how big it is if you really wanted to, by using the map on PT and seeing how big the villages are compared to the villages in VV1 and 2. Then you could find out the area of them and then find how many go into the map.
I'm not sure if that'd work but it was my only idea.

Another possibility is that all 3 games were originally independent of each other, but they liked the name Isola so much, they used it more than once. And they already had the graphics for the villagers so why not use that again, as well.

But the games are played by the same people so much that they'll find a way to tie them all together in the future.

Just guessing! \:\) If they did write each game with a master plan to tie them all together, that would be a very long term plan from the very inception of the games!

Well, how could VV2 have been independent? I mean, you're still on the same island... All three of them are on Isola!

I do believe that FT and PT are spoofs of VV, in that order.
[VV1, FT, VV2, PT, VV3]

I timed one of my villagers going from one corner to the other and estimated that it took him one minute.

In Villagian Time (anyone remember my old calendar?):
on Slow: takes 1 day to get across
on Normal: takes 3 days to get across
on 2x: takes 6 days to get across

Hmmm, no wonder time seems to fly by when your collecting coconuts!!

If your pattern is true, HP, would that mean there is another spoof coming up?

I suppose they could. Many people have suggested other tycoons that would be related to Isola. If LDW makes it, I'll buy it! \:D
