I was glad to see that FT built in a screensaver for winxp. Fish Tycoon pops up in the list of screensavers from desktop properties-screensaver. Nice. I'm having problems with the settings button not showing anything and the tank no showing any fish. Any ideas??

The Settings button doesn't do anything when you're setting up the Fish Tycoon screensaver. Once the screensaver activates, it should successively display the actual state of each of your tanks in the active game. Is it not doing that?

no. The screensaver displays only tank 2 and it's empty.

Update. The screens do rotate between tanks one and the sale tank only. Still no fishys. Also, the screensaver won't come on if the game is running. Let's say I walk away from the screen and I'm selling fishys to make cashy, the screensaver doesn't come on. IT kind of freezes the pc for a bit. STRAAAANGEEEE......

Do you have more than one player set up in the game? The screen saver might be displaying a player that has no fish in tank 2. It takes awhile for it to switch from tank to tank - how long did you let it run?

I mad sure that all slots had players and fishys. Still no fishys in the tanks for windows screensaver and only displaying the first and sale tanks.

Is it possible that the screensaver is picking up a stray savegame file somewhere? What happens if you click the in-game screensaver button?

You might try searching your computer for "stray" savegame files (search for f*.pts).

Ok. I didnt find any other than the norm. See screenshots. The screensaver in preview works normally. I preview and click the "any key" and it comes out of screensave normally. But, when it auto enters screen save( i have it set for one minutes. the screen comes back in a smaller res siz. see screenshot. i have to select desktop tab from desktop properties and reselct wallpaper and apply to reset the screen. ehhh... did that make sense? uhhh. i cant post .jpg files....

You should be able to include jpegs - I do it all the time.

The screensaver goes into full-screen mode at 800x600 resolution when it activates. If you have your PC set to a higher resolution (which most people do), it will leave most of your open windows and your wallpaper resized when you exit the screensaver. That's just how it works.

I am also having the same problems with my screensaver. I only have one character/game profile. When i set windows to fish tycoon as its screen saver under diplay settings and press preview all i get is empty tanks. I have looked for f*.pts files and have found 2 x FTinfo.pts files, 1 x FSGB1.pts, and 1 x FishSaveGame1.pts. Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated
