I assume there is an upper limit. What would it be?

Each tank can hold 20 fish. Breeding fish when your tanks are at or near the limit will result in the babies being "eaten" by the other fish once the limit has been reached. It's best to count them to make sure you have room for the babies.

Hi Barbara,
How can I ever thank you from freeing me from the little villagers only to find that I'm now a fish tycoon?! I just sent in my letter of resignation from my job;I don't really need it anymore anyway since I accidently stumbled upon the Golden Guppy combination almost immediately! Such a moneymaker should only exist here!

My question...since the two tanks are so small, is it possible to use the selling tank as a backup...and just keep the shop closed? I see that it has the airation, etc. for the fish, however, it does not have the magic plants that automatically install only into the 2 main tanks? Will this harm the fish or would it possibly offer more space? Thanks so much in advance.

Gail

Hi, Gail! Welcome to LDW Addicts Anonymous!

You can certainly use your selling tank as a working tank. Most people do that to give them more room to operate. A good strategy is to (for the most part) keep your babies and less important fish in that tank. The babies will never be sold, and you won't lose that prize Magic Fish if you accidentally hit the Sell button (trust me - it happens)! Other than the risk of accidentally selling fish that you intended to keep, there's no down side to using the selling tank for breeding operations.
