These are all good ideas. The marriage one is OK, but if you're desperate and you need kids, they should be able to in-breed if it's the only way to save the tribe.

In History at school we're learning about the Medievel Times and well one thing they did is a lot like something in VV1 & VV2. But I like their a way a little bit better. Okay here it is:

They have people that are called Master this and Master that. Well one thing is that a man is called a Master and a women is called a Mistress. So that's one thing you could change in VV3. And young people like 13-17 would work for the Master/Mistress and they would be called an Apprentice this and an Apprentice that. So in VV3 maybe when they turn 13(Let them start working at 13. Because in many cultures even tribes males and females become Men and Women at 13) they go to a special place just for Apprentices and they work their untill they turn 20 (and call them Apprentices not trainees). In the Medievel times when they were older and wiser, about 18, they would become jouneymen(you still call them adept if you want) they would find real jobs working with masters. So in VV3 when they turn 18 they leave their special place for Apprentices and they become Adepts and they work with the Master. Then when they reach a certain skill level they become Masters.

One thing that would be apropriate is a school (I liked the school in VV1 but let the children go on their own. I got tired of clicking the drum). And next to the school have some places for each skill. That area would be for the Apprentices.

The title apprentice is already used for kids under 14 with at least a trainee amount of skill. But good idea though!

Thanx and 1 more thing. I've heard a lot about tribes that do something special for a boy when he turns about 13. Sometimes he has to do something like cut himself to become a man. Or he gets something. Stuff like that.

I know that some kids are apprentices in VV1&2, but it would be better if it took the place of trainee. And so my idea of an area for the apprentices would kinda be like the school for ages 13-18.

I had this idea that perhaps after a child turns ten that they start to find mushrooms on their own. Then when they turn fourteen of course they start to work.

I've been lurking around for quite a while, but finally decided to post because of some ideas for VV3. I agree with a lot of the ideas, but realize they would cause a lot of programming problems. What about using more "island events" to enable the villagers to have more to do. Like monsoons, or storms to cause actual damage to the huts so the builders will have something to do. Also, having a medical research table, so that the doctors can concoct potions and use them to cure various illnesses, having to choose the correct combination of plants to do this. I also would like to see them capture animals, like chickens or pigs to place in pens, the children could feed them, and occasionally there could be a message that one of the animals was used for a feast, then you would have to be sure to keep them breeding so they wouldn't all disappear. I would also like to see more things for the villagers to do once all the puzzles have been completed, maybe basket weaving, or the elders could become teachers so that the children could go to school and actually learn a certain skill, whatever that villager was a master of, and more hunting in the forest, sometimes coming back with some type of food, or coming back injured. I really don't like the "untrained, bored" villagers. I would like the children to have a skill even when the parents don't have a matching skill, sometimes when the population gets low, I set a man to be a parent so that I can increase my population, but most of the children end up being unskilled. I really enjoy this game but get tired of seeing millions of pieces of food and tech points. I'd like to have something for them to do besides gather food and research. More island events would make it more interesting!!

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but I think a bigger playable area would be cool for VV3. I also love the animal idea that Mishe had, Villagers could roast a pig over the fire for a feast.
