So, I've not been playing this game very long, and I'm not even sure this is a 'valid' discussion, but I just had a heck of a time...

So, I had about 14 villagers or so, I can't remember exactly. I only had farming 2 and a bunch of other ones, but nothing at level 3. I was reading the forums here and took some of the advice/strategies and such. (This is my first village. Well, second...my first one wasn't very successful.)

I decided to make a master parent. Why not, right? That would be kinda fun. (Some of these threads shouldn't be seen by new players!~ LOL)

So I logged off the game for a while; went and had lunch, cleaned the house, played with the kids - you know, normal stuff. It might have even been an overnight - I can't remember how long I was away. Maybe 6 hours or so...I come back, and I see 22 villagers!! I see my food rapidly decreasing and decide I really need to work on Farming 3. I had about 15k tech or something like that - maybe 20.

(Do you see where I'm going? lol)

Then, I read a thread that says that Farming 2 will support a village of 15 max and I was soooo bummed! I didn't want to lose my village! I was determined to make it work. I needed only 70k more tech...I'll just put everyone on the research table except for one farmer, and voila! I'll be there in no time.

Oh wait - I have a master parent. Ok, this is going to be really interesting.

So, I had to of course, pause the game overnight, because I knew the village would be a goner as soon as I woke up. And, I had a very uh .. curious male villager who (I swear!) waited for those female villagers to take a breath and stop researching for just one second!! I had to keep that guy on farming (he's a persistent little bugger), keep the researchers on research (they wanted to swim, mostly), keep making stew for my elders, and get that 90k.

Oh, but it gets better...

So I FINALLY GET 90k tech points. WHEW! Almost there! So I put my active (lol) male villager who is now about as frustrated as they come, and set him off to find some fish and...dangit! He's not a master farmer! ACK!

Quick, quick...go find a master farmer. Oh wait - DANGIT! My only master farmers (since I had everyone on the darn tables) are like 65! They move as fast as slugs through salt! Haha...

Yeah, yeah. I am surprised I was able to get through that whole thing. Yep, we're once again harvesting food. Yay!

So what's the hardest thing you've done to keep your village alive?

Hum… you could take a master Scientist!!

Ooo serious? I thought I tried, and all they did was swim in the water. lol
