When I was playing VV2 yesterday, I put one of my kids right on top of a mushroom but she didn't pick it up. I kept on putting her near the mushroom but it wouldn't work. The mushroom stayed there for a while then went away. The same thing happened Today again.

Is this a glitch or just some random thing?

That happens sometimes, that happened to me with butterflies and it was there for ages.

Is there a way to stop it?

LadyCFII said it's a glitch or something where we can still see the collectible ('shroom or whatever) that has really already gone. I don't know of any way to stop it.

Misfortune happens...Try waiting, a different village child, or turn the game off and turn it back on.
