How do I unlock the bins?

what are the bins??

The bins are those little "boxes" at the top of the screen. The game instructions only give little hints about them: "Some toy bins appear to be empty. These toys are "locked". You will have to discover how to unlock them."

My pet is now age 39 and the second bin is still locked. When does the second bin become unlocked?

You still have a little over 10 years to go!
