I'd like to share some of my villagers' photos...

Look at the beatiful beach!

Here is a rare approach for me to see in the village...

GC making a PARTY!!!

Sometimes the butterflies fly around the village... maybe it's a bug, but I love it!!

Sometimes some villagers go exercising in unusual places... I think I definitely loooove bugs!

What about your villagers?

You need to install a screen shot application on your PDA, since most devices don't come with a built in way to take screen shots.

Where can you install one? Will it cost money?

I've found that the best screenshot programs cost money, but they provide much better device support and configuration options, including the ability to set the file format and triggers, as well as providing a conduit to move the screenshots to your Palm. There are some that are free, including one called ZGrab, but I understand that they're pretty limited in function.

I installed what you recommended Grace, but it seems that particular screenshot program requires me to have an expansion card to save the files. Is there a program that doesn't require an expansion card??

I found an expansion card in a digital camera of mine and I was able to take lots of snapshots with the Snaps program. I had to use my Pocket PC to transfer the files off the expansion card. Is there a better way to do this?

Gemelle,

For about $9 or so, I got a little card reader that plugs into my computer's USB (UBS? lol) port. It's just a tiny little contraption that holds your expansion card, plugs into your computer, and your computer looks at it just like any detatchable drive your computer may have. You can copy, paste, move files back and forth between your device and computer with ease. I use it all the time to check my graphics in my Palm, without having to hotsync every time. Think of it as a tiny floppy drive.

You can get card readers almost everywhere now. A lot of online places sell them, and you can get them at just about any computer store.

That's great! Card readers have really come down in prices! I'm glad that there is a better way

Great! By the way, I don't understand this guys, it seems to me they have a two-colored face? Are they some kind of punk?

Now login is working again... it seems to fail when I try to post a reply on a discussion that isn't on the first page of the forum.

He's pretty hard working, so I consider him a good punk! As long as he doesn't spray paint my village, I'm happy

So if I use Snap do I have to go out and get a card reader to get the screen shots over from my Treo 600? Is there a way to get them to my PC (Win XP Pro) without extra equipment? Would I have to use another program?

I really want to be able to check on my village up close ad personal

You'll have to use some sort of third-party intermediary, whether it's a card reader or software that lets you view your device as a drive (Card Export). Both of these options are $$$ solutions, although not particularly expensive (and Card Export may offer a free trial period.)

OK - have snap and demo for card explorer and an expansion card (SD 1GB)...

None of my "screen shots" are saving to the expansion card - what am I doing wrong?

If this does not work I guess I will just give up the screen shot dream

Is that snap program "turned on" while you are taking the screenshots? You should generally hear TWO beeps if you took the screenshot.

The 1st beep is when you push the correct button.

The 2nd beep might come 2 seconds later when the "snap" program has completed taking the shot.

Now, I noticed that when I check my expansion card with my Tungsten|E, it looks like I don't have any screenshots on it. But then when I take the expansion card to my Pocket PC, that's when I'm able to see all the screenshots I've taken.

Hope this info helps. I would love to see screenshots of your village! ^_^
