I like the idea of having warriors to defend your village. That would be fun and keep the games more active.Maybe the stakes could be they kidnap people and you can raid back to save them or for food. Attacks shouldn't be incredibly frequent though.I also think it would be really fun to have season. Sometimes it could rain a lot and sometimes snow. Children could start " playing in rain" or "having snowball a fight."
