Currently, I have only two Villagers left. There were three brothers this morning but the eldest just passed away at the age of 72. (The funeral was *sniff* lovely.) The two remaining brothers are ages 22 & 49. They have 12K units of food, barring that blasted Storm that washes away the food supply. They're like two old-maid bachelors who'll spend the rest of their days researching, swimming, exercising & doing laundry. I'm very fond of them, but the overall game prospects look dim to me. My question is whether I should kiss them goodbye & start over, or hope for a miracle. All tech levels are at Level 2, except for Farming Level 3, and accumulated current tech points are 46,131; 305 realtime hours. What are the chances that a boatload of lovely young women will also wash ashore? LOL

Thanks for all help, of course.

There are at least two Island Events that could salvage your rather bleak situation (not a boatload of lovely women, but helpful, nonetheless). Since I tend to like a challenge, I might give it a day or two to see what happens. It's never too late until your population reaches zero!

Could you please PM me to just tell me what I possibly could look forward to? Other than Club Med deciding to buy my tropical real estate, I'm stumped.

To update, my little duo of brothers has just dwindled down to ONE. I checked in after a couple of hours (dinner, for goodness sake! ) only to find the last brother Burying the Dead (Brother). Brother-Aged 68 is now only a memory (and a lovely tombstone.) The Sole/Soul Survivor is 41 yrs., healthy, Master Scientist, Adept at all others except Breeding (0 ), Level 3 Building, Spirituality & Harvesting (with 11,556 units of food.) He could throw a party & feed all the neighbors except that he HASN'T ANY!!! Oh, woe is me... I think I'll just see how long the poor fella will hang on; he'll be reallllly lonely.

Regards,
Lauren

Hmmmm...it's starting to look a little bleak! You might be interested in another saga of a village reported some time back. It might give you some sense of reassurance that you're not alone in your experience of tragic tales of Isola!

Interestingly enough, after reading the "Handy Handbook" that you posted earlier (on a different thread) I found that my Little Man has started restoring the ruins. Maybe, maybe, maybe... I intend to look after him like he was my NBF. More to come... (I hope!)

Regarding the post that you linked me to, it all sounds soooo familiar. LOL!

Regards,
Lauren

They got old, they got sick & remained weakened even after healing and worst of all, they only had boy babies in the last batch. The last villager, Mr. Lonely, finally got sick & had nobody to heal him. (I found out that the cactus only teaches healing; it can't help with healing someone.)

Only males in a batch? Yee, that bites. Where are the mail order brides when you need them?

Okay, did anybody else reading about bachelor brothers immediately flash on Fraser?

Seriously, I need a real life.
