Yeah. Why don't we wait to see what they put in VV3 before suggesting anything for VV4? They're still working on VV3, which is why they still have that thread for suggestions for the game.

I would like to see VV3 before I make any suggestions for the fourth one. You never know, they might just have some of those things in VV3 already, or maybe not. Let's play the third game first and see.

I'ts good to see someone keen on the next generation VV game. But, we haven't seen VV3 yet. I'm sure we would have a better insight as to what we want, once it's out. But her's mine anyway. Benches for the nursing mums and a park with animals in it for relaxing. It would be sad to go off the tracks of the original VV game. They did that with The Age of Empires games. The first three were great, the next one , killed it. So I only play the older ones now.

I agree, Jazzo. Arrays like that are a programmer's nightmare. Although LDW won't talk about programming limitations like this, I'm sure that's at least part of the reason for the limit of 50 gravestones and Elders, and why the parents' images and names are only shown for villagers under 18 and 14.

I second that - my laptop can barely handle the graphics part of VV2 once I get above 25-30 villagers... with a giant family tree array, the later part of the game could well be unplayable on an older machine like mine. I suppose the family tree array could be written to an output file that is updated as the game progresses (so the in-game array is limited to current children as it is now) - if you want to see the family tree, the game pauses and then opens the output file to display. But after a while that would be completely unreadable anyway. I'd rather have a VV3 that can be played on slightly older hardware than a VV3 with tons of bells and whistles that requires a top of the line system. JMHO
