I can't figure out what to do after my berries run out! I've tried to put everyone all over the island and to no avail! I want to farm but I'm only at level 1 and I assume that it comes later. I've looked at the guides and read many a post and I have not come across the answer to my question Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find the answer! ARGH

You must put your villagers at the research table to (highlight for spoiler) get some tech points and buy the level 2 of farming, then they'll be able to get some crops (end of spoiler) and put the children to pick up the mushrooms!

Thanks! So do I put them all there and it will come? Is a 14 y/o considered a child? I don't have any children at the moment. It always says that they are worried about housing and there's a hut being built now.

Oh yeah now when I try to make babies *hehe* they go indoors and it just says that they have improved at breeding but there's no baby. The first time I played I made a couple of babies but all of my villagers died overnight I forgot to put the game on pause!

Not everytime that a couple goes "indoors" will they walk out with a baby. I may take a few tries before it actually happens.

Yeah, I know. But I've done it with multiple villagers continuously and nothing has happened I feel like I'm creating a big orgy! LOL When they come out I make them IMMEDIATELY go back in. I did this for about 5 minutes and then I gave it a rest and did it for about 5 more and I tried to hook differnet people up thinking maybe it might be a personality conflict. The breeding's not compatible!

Hello Suenos096! To answer one of your questions, no a 14 y/o is not considered a child. At 14 they're old enough to work a job.
Also, let me caution you about getting too many villagers till you are at level 2 (and better yet level 3) farming. So many tribes have been "lost" because they outgrew their food source

Thanks! I will. But if I need children to get the mushrooms so that I can get food when the berries are depleted what do I do then? Or will I have a mission next that will help me with that when the berries are gone?

I strongly recomend that you look at the vv1 guide, as were not allowed to say much here. It will guide you all the way through the game, or as much as you want to find out about it. Good luck and welcome to the LDW site.

I have looked at everything (more than once) which is why I finally posted the question. It didn't help any! This might not unfortunately be the game for me. I didn't think it would be THIS difficult!

BTW: The setting is on easy and 1/2 speed.

It`s good to have babies but don`t have too many they CAN and WILL eat up your food supply.

Yes, indeed. Babies and children eat as much as the adults.

By the way, if the food supply is low the villagers are wary of creating another mouth to feed, so that is probably why you had problems earlier. You can, by keeping on trying, usually get them to have a baby, though most times they "try" nothing will happen. When they've built up a stock of a few hundred food points they are more likely to have babies.

how many people and do you have some children?
