They have "weather" in both VV & VV2. They are considered Island Events. You don't get to see the weather change, but you do get an after effect ... something like "The Storm: A large storm washed away most/all of the food in your storage bin." ... of "The Fuzzy Food: extreamly humid weather has made the food in your storage bin begin to mold." ... or "The Wooden Crate: a wooden crate washed up on the beach, it is filled w/ rusty tools." etc.

This kind of stuff I like (but I would like to see much more of it) however I am glad that we don't actually see the weather itself. I think it is too complicated for our little simple village. This game is about teaching your villagers the basics, if we have a bunch of advancements that serve no real purpose towards the main goal of the game we end up losing that special feeling the game creates.

This goes out to everyone:
If you want more/better graphics, than I suggest going for more advanced games that specialize in advanced graphics. The simple sim games like "VV" just wont produce them for you, because if they did then there would be a bunch of people saying...why are the graphics for the villagers completely different from the graphics for the special effects, we want better villager graphics. If LDW changed both, than the entire game would lose its charm.

Suggestions (in my oppinion) should be kept in the proper scope. What cool things could be added to future games, to make each game unique, but not change the games from their original design. Basically the best suggestions for the games are those that add to the differences but ultimatly keep the game exactly the same. Sounds odd I know, and difficult to grasp, but that's the way it is. The simplest, and most common ideas will be the ones to get used.

Well, anyway, that's my two cents. I hope everyone will be able to find the things they were hoping for in the next installments of the VV game series ... here's to a happy medium!!! Cheers.
