I'd like to make a few suggestions for improvements to the game.
1) I'd like to see a sub-screen that tells me how many farmers, researchers, etc. I have at any given time. This would help me assign jobs to the little new folks. I'd also like to see something that tells me how many do not yet have a job/career assigned to them.
2) I'd like to see some kind of ON-screen identification of jobs - A farmer gets a farmer hat or all researchers have red hair, etc. Again, when your population gets high in numbers, it's extremely difficult to keep track of who's doing what!
3) (Far less important) I'd like to see some kind of leisure activity for these poor folks. I've got food up to around 100,000 and research points over 300,000 and they are getting BORED BORED BORED. You can only dance and party so much
4) I think a school of some kind would be fun -- something for the little ones to do besides chase butterflies, pee and stare at the cactus

Obviously, numbers 1 and 2 above are the most important

Here's my suggestions:
1) Integrate use of the Palm directional button, so I can scroll through the villagers with one hand (Left/Right).
2) And Up/Dn/Lf/Rt to move about the map detail. When you've got 65 villagers running about, it's hard to find an empty space to drag the map!
3) Ditto JoanOH's #1. That may make my #1 less of a priority.
