Hello Everyone!

We have temporarily disabled the off-topic discussion forums. We are working extremely hard to finish VV3 as fast and as best as we can. It's coming really nice and we can't wait to show you more previews.

The latest arguments over religion have been a distraction and even if we don't want to ban topics like religion and politics we don't have at the moment the means to monitor them in a way that would make everyone feel happy and confortable.

Well, its a disadvantage to everybody, so nobody can search at the moment, nobody will get further ahead or behind so therefore it is fair

Carla, thank you for informing us about this and I understand exactly where you and the others are coming from.

That said, KimDog makes a valid point: What are you and the others going to do about those eggs which have been placed in the Off-Topic Discussion forum? I know there have been at least a few and if one player has waited until one of the last days in the game to search for eggs, what can they do about those eggs that others may have found previously in the Off-Topic Discussion forum? They can't find them if they can't see the forum.

Edit: Please don't find me rude but I just thought I'd ask since it doesn't seem fair to those I know have said that they would wait until the last couple of days to search for eggs and just in case others are too shy to ask themselves.

Myself, I haven't had time to search for eggs lately so it doesn't matter that much to me.

I like that decision. VV3 is the priority and we can't WAIT! And it will be back up in time for the easter eggs I'm sure.

While I will miss the conversations occuring in Off Topics, I will GLADLY suffer that minor inconvenience to hasten the finish of VV3!

Well I stoped looking for the eggs so I guess I am not miss'ng anything. And I do understand Carla what u are say'ng. Can't wait for VV3 Do what U gotta do to get it done

I have never visited the off-topic discussions but I can surely imagine how much time the moderators need to spend in the threads.

Religion and politics are two subjects that should not be discussed because of our passion on our particular choice. Of course, this is just human nature and I am just as guilty as the next person to stand up for my beliefs. BUT and this is a really big but; people often get hurt.

I'm sure that no one here wants to deliberately hurt another forum member; so, turning off the thread was the best choice. And, keeping friends is more valuable than an egg or two.

You are too wise QuickStorm... No one wants to hurt another forum member, unintentionally or intentionally. And keeping friends what friends we have made on this forum is the most important thing ever.

I think that the only reason the Easter eggs were brought up in the first place on this thread, or at least the only reason I inquired about it, was to ask them about how this could affect the game in a fairly short amount of time. I remember when they had issues with the Easter Bunny leaving eggs in an incorrect place and how they had to throw out those eggs and how it probably caused a large headache to all of those who had to create the solution for that problem. Letting them know about any such problems as soon as it becomes evident allows them to create a workable solution quickly which can clear up any confusion in the future... meaning less PMs to the admins and moderators about what is going on and more time for them to concentrate on more pressing issues... (i.e. Virtual Villagers 3)

That's absolutely right!
I also felt a little bit disturbed by these discussions about religion.
It's a topic so vast. On this forum, it would take too much place for the general matter of the forum or not enough for the importance of this matter! (there are some forums made especialy for that)

i agree ! this is not the type of forum for it .
i have nothing against poems or prayers.
but i don't think threads on religious or politicial
views should be on here . we have too many kids that
come on this site . i don't think that their
parents would want them to learn about religion
or politics here.
