I have completely finished Plant Tycoon and have all 529 seeds in the Virtual Seed Tray utility. I originally started with the very basic VST--just seed storage, nothing else. After I had finished filling in my own spreadsheet chart, my game stated I had found 521 species. Ok..no problem, I goofed somewhere and forgot to plant a seed I had created. So I went back through all 529 seeds, planted and matured every one of them and added prices to my list to make sure I got them all. Now my game says 528 species. SIGH! I then went and got the fully upgraded version of the VST with all the bells and whistles and checked the chart. Indeed, all cells are green telling me I have bred them all. I'm at a loss. The only other thing I can think of is that there were a couple of plants that I inadvertently pruned completely away before they had matured. Will this stop that species of plant from being recorded even though I did mature it? (I could probably go check that on a new game but I'm frustrated and it's lunchtime for the grandkids.)

Question #2-Does the Virtual Seed Tray check the game data for the species bred or just the seeds you have in storage? Because if it's checking the game, then something is wrong somewhere.

Most likely you've bred a plant but not planted it or matured it.
The VST just keeps track of the seeds you made, not the plants you've grown. The game won't register a plant species until it's full grown.

Well, I'm fairly sure I planted all of them as I just did that this morning but maturing...hmm...maybe one of the ones I over-pruned and trashed before fully maturing. (Silly little cacti!) Back to the garden. Thank you!

Well I still have absolutely no idea how I managed to miss one but the game now registers 529. I'll have to start a new game up! LOL
