I just used my Golden Pruning Shears to cut a plant off completely (a.k.a fragrant maple) and I used a mutagen on it. The species changed to fragrant bamboo and the foliage appeared (bamboo foliage of course)!!! Does this happen to your game?

Yes, that's normal.

I have often do that! When a plant had been pruned too much and became weird, I know that I'll never succeed to sell it, I mutate it and it become beautiful again!!
When we know the price of mutagen liquid, I'm not sure it's a good bargain but it's good for the moral and, who knows, maybe a new specie and new opportunity of cross-breeding!!
