A monkey just attacked one of my young boys (8 years old) I dragged my healer over, but nothing happened. It says young Turi is healthy, but his health meter is only half green. Is this going to affect him later in life? He's tapped to become my master builder.

You can only heal a villager whose status is "Sick." The monkey attack reduced his health, but he will gradually recover and be fine!

I had a monkey attack my GC one time and there's nothing any healer can do. All the kids will recover from bad monkey attacks in time.

After playing my original game all this time (since VS came out), I can now (sadly) say that there are exceptions.

Last night, I turned on VS to check my quiet little village before going to bed, and my little Teata (Golden Child) was dead. The monkey had attacked the only child there was currently, and that was my GC. Now my little village is too quiet.

An interesting side note here, and possibly why it killed her rather than just weaken her... Her health meter was steadily (but very very slowly) declining over time anyway, and was at the halfway mark when she was attacked.

I haven't had any monkey attacks on people, but I did have one ransack the research table and steal all the tech points! Bad Monkey!

My GC was attacked some time ago, and her health has never recovered. One more attack and she's a goner. Mind you, other than that, her health has been steady. I'm now waiting to see if the "Food Harvested" counter blows when it hits 10 million - 1586 hours down, about 160 to go.

You know, that may have happened to my GC before too. That would account for her declining health. After keeping one village going for so long (2795 hours realtime, and counting, lol), I've seen several monkey attacks, so I don't even remember anymore who was the first, etc. She could have been one, but I didn't worry about it, because other children always recovered (or at least weren't killed by it).

The Golden Child is supposed to be "invincible," but there is some evidence that s/he is susceptible to certain Island Events (and shouldn't be). My leading theory for the continual drain on the child's health that you observed is that one of the Island Events made the GC sick, which isn't detectable because the GC's status always says "Golden Child." Once the child's health reached the 50% point, the other Island Event caused the loss of the remaining health. This should all be fixed when the v1.1 update is released, but if this happens to anyone else, please try healing the GC and report what happens!

That's true, I never did see "sick" in her profile, only that her bar was halfway down (before she got attacked by this last monkey event), so I didn't think to try to "heal" her.

Besides, even with declining health, she never stood still long enough, except in the flower field. But still, I was very suprised to see her die. And my poor villagers...they have lost their will to... PAR-TAY!! lol!

(Welcome back Barbara!)
