so i have a question... what is this raft everyone is referring to? (not the one in the picture, but one apparently from vv2)... i have played vv2 to the end (well, end being i finished the puzzles) but i didn't get all the collectibles... and then my computer crashed and i lost everything... so i got a new hard drive and played through vv1 and 2 again, and have (again) finished the puzzles, but (again) still have not gotten all the collections (havfe all the shells, but still need 2 or 3 of the beetles, rocks, and one butterfly)... so, does the game not truly END until you have gotten everything???
will the 'raft' not happen til i have collected everything, or is it just one of those random events?

One of the island events in VV2 that only happens when the game is well advanced is that a number of the younger villagers build a raft and sail away. We never find out (in VV2, anyway) what happens to them.

The game doesn't really end at all. Once a village becomes self-sustaining it can go on and on with minimal interference. Many games have been going on for months.

mine is almost a year to the day.

so you don't get anything special (besides a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart) once you have collected everything?

Completing the collections does give you more than a warm fuzzy feeling. As for the raft event, it's a late-game event that appears randomly (all Island Events are random). Many people have never seen it, some people have seen it more than once.

I didn't know about the raft either, but for the collectibles, if
you take your children and drop them in the small circle between
the black plant and the waterfall, the collectibles will show up quicker for a short time. I've gotten them all, but one butterfly, and now that I know about the raft, I'll be looking forward to it.
I've solved all the puzzles and have a bunch of totems, so come on butterfly!

raft? oh no. I won't get that far. My tribe is in trouble. I have one male elder and one young male. I'm so sad but I am doomed for extinction. I kept dreaming last night that I woke up and a crate of babies was found.. or some magic potion... poof. Yes. I was actually dreaming that you could mix liquids and make potions. SIGH... that is just how sad I am. I did complete the game except for collecting all the pebbles and stuff but I wanted my peoples to live on! SO SAD.


(oh figures i say that.. i start up VV 1 and an giggling infant was found on the beach! wrong game@ sheesh!) lol
