Yes, indeed!
We may imagine that kids could cry and it incite parents to run and console them.

It can distract parents from their work.

Yes! Consoling a crying kid is a really good idea! The kids are already quite lifelike in the way they keep zooming about and keep banging into things. What if they were to fall over every now and then and banged their knees? Then, to combine two ideas, they could run crying to Mama who could "kiss it better". \:\)

I just thought about it. What if there was a baby boom? Would all of a sudden, moms stop, waiting for someone, then kissing their darling kids? I can imagine it...

It's a great idea. It gives the villagers emotion.

\:D Cool!! It may be funny!!
When there is a baby boom that means the game is quite far ahead and to work is not the priority any more, I suppose. And again, it doesn't take as much time!

it seems like (and remember i'm no expert) that to make sure the kid went to the right parents would mean coding that is far more complex than anything currently in the game. It is one thing to record who a child's parents are, it is another to have them interact specifically with those parents.

it might be easier to have an adult console a child, and not limit it specifically to parent/child interaction

although, it could also be a learning experience for the adult who could (or perhaps, should) get some parenting skills from sucessfully consoling a child

it would be beter to have more housing and a special place to put the totems, also aplace for recreation like aplayground for children under 12 and a school to teach the older ones, ther is'nt much to do after work.
may a difference between day and night would make a difference?
What about pets to care for?

Maybe a pet or a toy would make a little one happy or something to do like making sandcastles on the beach in a special playground for chidren under 12?
