It is not the most interesting name but somehow I have 3 Bruk's under the age of 13 right now. I have had names repeat but not that close together before.

Eeek! 3 Bruk kids! I've had 3 villagers with the same names at the same time, but they weren't under 13. But I would say the toughest is when they have the SAME name and SAME looks! Isle Clones!

This is very difficult to do. Some people keep spreadsheets, but it's definately not necessary for the game! Also, lots of times I've woken up to "surprize" kids and have no clue who the dad is!!
Yup agreed. I kept track of my first game in a blog format. It's fun for the first few days, but it gets quite tedious as the village grows. I make sure to have only one breeding male at a time so I know who's the daddy

My Villager named " City " reminds me of Jedi Janey from Big brother . I adore her. She is the most curious of all the villagers so far...

Wow, I'm impressed that this thread is still going!
And of course, my personal favorite is still Tuna.
I'm wondering if there will be more interesting names if Village Sim is going to go Pocket PC??

So when the crops fail and Food goes around "worrying about food" his mother complains "Why are you only thinking of yourself??"

Unagi is indeed "eel" in Japanese...I've also had Ahi (type of tuna) and Ichi, which is the number one in Japanese, and Nishi, which means "West" in Japanese. Pretty cool. I also like Keiki, which I think is "children" in Hawaiian?

That's funny about the frog!
Oh yeah, and "Obi", while a favorite of the Star Wars crowd I'm sure, is actually Japanese for the colorful sash, or belt, that is worn with the formal Kimono robes.

I still laugh whenever a VV gets the name Bobo. I like Zen too. I get a lot of Sevens for the males. An FYI - I went to a baby name site on the internet. They have names according to origins like Polynesian, Thai, Tibetan, Sanskrit, Japanese, etc. So, they're exotic names and really good for the VV's. Plus, they give the meanings. Because I am so obsessive-complulsive about this game, I wrote down a lot of the names I really like so I have them handy when renaming villagers. Here's the site: Baby Name NetworkBeing a Tibetan Buddhist, I'm partial to the Sanskrit and Tibetan names, but there are so many really nice names under all the origins.
