[SPOILER] Young princess?

I have been playing VV 1 for a very long time, and I have a special question. At the time when I got the little golden boy, I didn't have any very old villagers. the old ones were dead and buried. I was kind of used to the younger villagers contacting the older villagers from time to time to chat etc. But at this point, my villagers became very fond of a young teenage girl. They hardly never contact any other villagers than her, and she is preoccupied almost all the time waiting for other villagers to get to her and praise, tell jokes, stories chat etc. etc.
Her name is Natasha, and she is wearing a red dress with some pattern, and a cap that matches the dress. Is this girl anything special, and if so why?
PS. I use her as my avatar, so you can see what she looks like.

It sounds like she is simply the alpha villager. There is no special role or activity for a specific villager, other than the Golden Child, of course.

Yes that is something that happened in all my villages too. It's generaly the oldest villager of the tribe who seems to be chosed by the others each time they have something to say! When he/she die, it's the next oldest who is the new one. It seems that our villagers like to confide, to joke (and even to teach) or just to talk with the elders! (it could be why in VV2, they do that with the totems!! )

You didn't do anything wrong. We tag threads that contain spoiler information as a courtesy to people who may want to avoid discussions that reveal too much about the game's puzzles. The spoiler was the mention of the GC, who is a key part of the game and several puzzles. Many people are still new to the game and may not want to know that there is such a person in the game.

They have both an alpha male and an alpha female. There doesn't seem to be any reason (to us) why a particular villager becomes the alpha, although as laurence says, it is often one of the elders. There is a distinct 'pecking order' that can be seen particularly in the female villagers. The men will first of all look for the alpha female to kiss but if she is nursing a baby they'll go for the next in line; if she's also nursing, they'll try the next, and so on ...

I don't believe the alpha villagers are always the oldest. In general it is, but I have personally had several villagers that appeared to be alpha who were not the oldest.
