What are some things that make you feel sorry for the villagers? Besides us pushing them around, that is.

I feel sorry when they turn elderly & can't get around easily. Someone rings the gong, everyone runs to celebrate together .... then there's old Mako, 72 yrs old, creeping along, going to celebrate with the others. By the time he gets past the research table, the others have all gone back to work! So he trudges on. Going....to....celebrate....getting....there...soon...
But oooh, look. There's Carla, 76--& Eric, 78, creeping up the hill. He won't have to celebrate all alone after all.

I think the truly sad sights are the kids who dislike running. They creep about like the elders, and, apart from an emergency or accident, are never trusted to pick up a collectible or mushroom. It is especially noticeable when the other kids are running about playing a game of tag, and poor old Slowcoach is plodding along a long way behind.

Oh yes, that's right Arnie! Sometime when the collectible is very near the research hut or when the mushroom is very near the food bin, I put a non-runner kid on it. I look at him, saying "go on... go on... go on... go on... Yeees!!" And I enjoy to watch him dancing or jumping!! \:D

What really shocked and dismayed me was the first time I tried VV2 and had run out of food before I knew how to keep the birds away ... even though I had it on 1/2 time, I came back to 2/3 of my tribe laying around as skeletons ... not a pretty sight :(. Felt kinda bad that it happened poor things.

The other thing I felt really bad about is before I made a conscious decision NOT to ring the gong ... thought I'd do ok with a elder master healer ringing it ... and the gong "took life" and poof, all that was left was her skeleton, and she was still young enough to keep going ... that shocked me a bit ...

When I first bought vv2 last year after playing the trail version the day after I all my villagers were dead and only one male villager was left burying the dead, I restarted the game, this time with more care. I now wish that I had joined the forums then I would of let the game run its course and see if I got an event with barrol of babies or two more adult villagers.
Next time. I may do that when the next comes out.

Ow!! Been there done that ... look on the bright side --- it gives your healers plenty of practice, and a chance to practice your stew making abilities. Did you know if you drop any person on a sick person, they will help to heal them? Children too. Hope all is well.

But it IS one of the reasons I don't ring the gong much (if any) anymore.

Yeah, everyone is fine now, I fixed them all up. I only had 39 villagers and 3 of them were babies in arms so it wasn't that bad.

I was hoping it would kill the stupid I-hate-running nuisance that I made ring it, but no such luck, he didn't even end up sick.

That gong is a real gamble! I once had a runner ring it, hoping for an increase in skill, & it killed him.
And that "last villager alive" is a real quandery. You hope for a rescue, but its so sad seeing him/her wandering around an empty village, all alone thru the years.

I feel sorry for one particular villager by the name of Tatau. If he's not fending off the advances of women, he's being argued with or complained at by everyone else.

Also I felt sorry for him for having to run away from those people all the time until I realized he was a farmer who didn't like fish, and so was actually running away from the task to which I had set him. Oops.
