I've researched everything and solved all puzzles but #10 and #11. So now I'm sitting around waiting for the GC. My population is at 65 so I won't have any more GC chances until villagers start dying, and at this point only the initial occupants have passed. Sad to say, all my current villagers are hardy and well and showing no signs of slowing. Must be all those clean clothes they wear.

So I'm starting to wonder what I'll do when one of them gets <cough cough> sick. I can't proceed in the game until some of my dear little friends pass away. It seems to me my best strategy would be to refuse treatment in order to speed up their demise.

In fact, I even considered not buying the final Medical advancement, as a way to limit their little lifespans.

But I feel funny doing this. Can anyone refute my logic on this, and give me a way out of my ethical dilemma?

I know we really do get attached to the little guys don't we?
I wouldn't worry though, seeing as this is video game and not real life....
You know I'm just playing with you!!! Everyone has run into the same problem and has handled it in different ways. Some have let sick ones die and I personally, just let them grow old. It's completely up to you ( and no one will feel less of you no matter what you do!)

I agree with tigger4will. You still have options to solve #10 and #11. The game is NOT over yet for you!

Oh no, I'm not thinking of quitting. Just trying to decide what I'm willing to do to hasten the arrival of the "next step" in my game. If a few villagers have to die a few years earlier than they could have, but it's for the sake of the tribe as a whole, then I'm certain that's what they would have wanted....right? And who knows, maybe some will start dying of boredom in their new, non-research-filled life of indolence and laundry.

yes, sad to say, but some one has to die so you can get the GC. It is a sacurfice you have to make. You could stop the food gathering, then you older peps will get weak, sick and die. it is a narrow tight rope to walk, but it will work.

Okay, I've got some sick villagers now (um...hurrah?). Is there any way to increase the spread of sickness? If I drag healthy villagers near (but not onto...no healing, you!) the sick 'uns, are they more likely to contract the deadly illness?

And yes, I know how *wrong* this all is! <sigh>

I've never tried that, but I'd be interested in your results! Let us know if it works!

I don't know of any way to spread illness, it just happens. Perhaps you could uncheck all your healers, and keep them away from the sick-bay area. Make them go fishing...

Also, I may be wrong about this, but could it be that the Golden1 doesn't show until you have maxed all tech?
