I think I've maxed out my game and will have to start fresh. Bummer.

I only have 25 villagers, plenty of food, but only one elderly, weakened (& the health bar is red) sim has any skill in construction (i.e I've checked construction, but her skill is "untrained") -- so I guess that means she can't train someone else.

I set everyone's skill to const. and let the game run overnight, but no one is building and everyone is worried about housing. I can't get people to mate because there is not enough housing, so everyone just gets older -- just waiting to die, I guess.

I did have two people with contstruction skills, but I guess one const. worker died while I wasn't looking. There are 7 people buried and I think you start the game with 6.

As I speak, my courageous elderly construction worker first attemtped to build something, then attempted to restore the ruins and is now curious about the rock. I'm letting her have her head -- she deserves it, even if I do lose the game.

Here's the stats:
Hours: 100
born: 27
cured 34
buried 7
oldest 69
max 25
havested 59918
crabs 289
tech 150318
levels completed 9 (Full Harv. Build, & Fert {a gift from the gods, although I still haven't seen the fish}; L2 on the others.
Island events 10
Puzzles 6 out of 12 (1~5 and 7 completed)

Have I taken this game as far as I can?

Since you asked pretty much the same question in another topic, please see my reply to your question here.

Yes, it's the same question, actually.
Sorry for the double post.
Please post replies in Worried About Housing. I can't do the link like Lady Barbara but you'll find it close to this thread.

It's easy to do the link, and anyone can do it. Find the post (or url of a web page) that you want to link to copy the url. Then, when you're composing your post (or reply), use the URL function to the right of all the smileys. Paste the url in the first window. Type the text you'd like for the link (in my case "here") and VOILA! You have linkage!!
