here are some ideas i have... i don't know how many (if any) are original... but i really didn't want to read through all 92 pages in order to find out... and even if they aren't original, i think they merit repeating! so, without further ado, here they are...

children - i think the kids should definitely be able to gain more SKILLS(i just found out they can get healing skills! i've only been playing for a year or so, so it was about time, huh?) - anyway, ideas for SKILL gaining.
FARMING - whenever they pick a mushroom they should definitely get farming skills! they're contributing to the well-being of the whole village (esp in vv2 when the ocean gets the algae and the coconuts are depleted and you don't yet have the dam built!)
BUILDING - kids should get building skills when watching construction.. .doesn't have to be a lot... but i know kids learn skills by watching, and in a primitive setting they probably learn how to be self-sufficient pretty early in life!
RESEARCH - and maybe, just maybe, kids could gain research skills whenever they collect an item they have already gotten... i mean, they are helping accrue tech points (which i greatly appreciate!), so doesn't it make sense they should get some research points too?

i also must second what someone said about leaving on the villager details page the parents of each child born during your game... mostly because it just seems really creepy to me that, with the way it is right now, a father/daughter or mother/son can have a child together... don't want to get too picky though (brother/sister), if only because then it would be quite the painstaking process to find a mate for each person... maybe they could just marry/mate for life and be done with that one!... or maybe that would just be way too complicated and we should stick with the way it is right now...

as for progress on the game - i am really really excited. this game is much more addicting than 'outsiders' can know... i am impatiently waiting the release of VV3... and only wonder why it has been at 68% for so long (it may have been only a few days, but it seems like ages... i check almost daily :))
