I've searched through the different topics and posts and didn't find anything about this. My gc kept getting weaker and eventually died. Is this suppose to happen? I had all but puzzle 12 done.

The GC is not supposed to die, but you don't need him for the 12th puzzle. Do you have any idea what caused it? Did you have an Island Event that caused a sickness or were you out of food, perhaps?

I suspect that he might have been sick, but since his status always says Golden Child, you might not have known it. We'll check this out.

There wasn't an island event and there was pleanty of food. I initially thought it was part of the program and part of the last puzzle. I waited for hours after the gc died but the gc didn't come back as a super gc, the last puzzle didn't get solved, no rescue ship, nothing. I've restarted since then (neglected the village for a couple of days and came back to dead bodies ). I guess if the next gc starts getting weak I'll try to heal it.

You will see a popup message announcing the birth of the GC, which will happen when the conditions in the village are right. All that's required is solving the prerequisite puzzles and attaining the necessary Village Tech levels.

You can do two options here
1= you can fast forward timetill you have maybe 45 villagers left.
2= you can just wait for somthing to happen.
My first time playing I had the same problem you did so I fast Forward time made sure I had lots Of FOOD then i made them have babies and the GC appeared.

If all you use your PDA for is playing games, then you don't stand to lose much by fast-forwarding your system. But if you use the PDA for work, appts, or any other Real-Life activities/applications, you should know that forwarding the system clock can create a potentially risky situation. Weigh the consequences first.
