a 10 yr old girl became a Master Scientist...but once she was distracted it wont let her back on b/c she is too young. Has this happened to anyone else?

I kind of had a bit of happy glitch too (well maybe kind of bittersweet hehe). I already had 90 total population which is supposed to be the maximum you can have (that's what it told me anyway), but then one of my elder villagers died and so I grabbed one of my younger women and put her and hubby together to make another baby (to make the total population 90 again) and she got pregnant with twins, so my total population was 91. Although, that didn't last very long because then one of my other elderly villagers died, so the population was back to 90 again. She hasn't released her twins yet, she's still caring for them. I have one woman villager who is caring for triplets. I thought I'd never get twins or trips LOL.

Edited because I forgot to ask: Are the twins/triplets always of the same gender (and identical)? Or are they sometimes like one boy, one girl?

same gender and yes, they are identical

That usually happens if , when you ring the gong, it grants wisdom. It can happen if you use two master scientists ( very rare ).

There is no gong in VV: A New Home, but there are Island Events that can give children advanced skills.

Is that the same as the "barrel of babies" event? I thought I read somewhere that event was on VV2 also. Is it not? If not, that's a bummer cause I was hoping to get that one eventually LOL. Not that I currently need it with 91 population (again after an older villager died, another villager had twins), but it would be neat.

Well.. i have had young kids become master at things. Like, i have had a 2 year old master docter, and a 5 year old master scientist... i guess if you drag the young kids onto the stew enough they will eat it... i guess if you drag them onto the reshaech table enough they will do it to

they won't research, but the stew....

There are no stews in VV1. If you'd like to discuss the stew, you can use the VV2 forum for that.

It's a different event but with the same (or similar, anyway) result. I think the barrel o' babies event is possibly the only one in both VV1 an VV2, although some are very similar.

Hi All,
I am new to the boards, as I just discovered VV1 two days ago. After losing my first tribe overnight I went looking for some guidance and found this board.
My second tribe is going very well now, and I just had an event occur which made me recall this thread and want to share my event. What just happened to me was I got a pop-up( I didn't think to do a screenshot) about an 11 year old boy in my tribe, saying that he was 'A Troubled Child' and he that he has never really acted like a child and the villagers don't know what to do with him, but that he seems pretty bright-then it gave me the options to teach him to farm or research-I chose research and this is the pop up I got-

His status now shows as Apprentice Scientist and in his details his research is at 100%, but he won't actually do any research, so unlike above, he hasn't actually gained me any tech points
I guess he will be a big help ones he hits 14 though.

Yes, he won't research until he's 14, but he'll be a big help then! Maybe you can get him to master many if not all of the skills!

Cool about the stew thing.
But the population thing used to ALWAYS happen to me in VV1.
And also, can you put two people on the gong at once and have it be rung twice with 2 scenarios?

There are no stews or gong in VV1. You should discuss those in the VV2 forum.
