Kali, who refused to ah, be with men until she was 18, finally "went indoors" and came out with a baby. This is a good thing since I have a mere 13 villagers after the two alien abductions, and one disappeared into the forest after getting a tad to curious about a mysterious face that he saw.

So. I took the advice of someone here, who suggested that I drag a Sim to the graves to see what would happen. It was all very awe inspiring and heartfelt, right up until he finished with his visit and was crossing the village commons on his way back to the table to do more research.

While crossing the commons, Kali stood up and followed him with her child in her arms. I allowed this to happen -- I didn't touch anything or drag anyone any where. When she got to the field, she stooped down as if she were harvesting or planting and when she stood up, the baby was gone!

I'm begining to feel like Fox Mulder here. This is the third disappearing Sim on my little island.

It could be that there is something wrong with my Palm. I'm also getting image "trailers" like you'd see when you click on the trailers feature for a mouse pointer.

I would hate to have to delete the game and reinstall, but that may be what I have to do.

Any suggestions?

I just love it when I get to answer my own posts!

Lady Crow has provided the steps necessary to reinstall a save game in a post a few down from this one. I'll give that a wack and see if I can get these Sims to fall into line.

You don't need to delete your game and reinstall it. The trails will go away if you exit the game and launch it again. That's another bug that will be fixed in v1.1, and it's related to villager management in memory (as is the vanishing villager bug).

Also, I think if you'll check in your village, you'll see a little two-year-old running around. There is a delay in the removal of the "baby decal" from the mom when the baby is weaned. If you pick up the mom or she needs her hands for something during this time, the "baby" is removed. You didn't lose a villager this time!

YEESSssss! Little Bobo (replacing the 14 year old Bobo who is rumored to have been eaten by a bear) is running around with joy, and Kali is caring for another child. Now I just have to wait another 3 years for Kasa to reach 18 so she can help populte the island as well.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I'm just too impatient.
