I've tried selecting a villager and then pressing F6 to change their outfit. It doesn't work. I know my F-keys are working because F1 works for changing the screen size.
Does anyone know why it doesn't work? Did it somehow get fixed? Do I have to change something in the coding?

Nope. I've been looking at the list of the clothes and none of my characters are at the last stage yet.
None of them are even dressed the same.

A small percentage of people have said that the F6 key didn't work in their game. It's not an official function of the game, since it's a developer code that was inadvertently left in the game and shouldn't have been there at all. I suspect that there are some later releases of the game out there that had the code removed.

Man, that stinks. I was hoping I was just maybe doing it wrong. Like, you had to hold it for a certain length of time, or had to push it a few times.

I remember trying it out when I first heard about it after I bought the game. This was quite a while ago. It didn't work then either. I think that was about a year ago. Would that have been old enough? I don't even know when the game was released.

Well I have made this pic of the clothes that I found in the "picture" folder! My theory is this:

The arrow is the direction of the changing when you press the F6 button. If your villager has already the last green dress, you can't change it. I had this situation once! (I'm not sure to be clear, I hope so )
And I suppose it's the same for male's clothes but I didn't check it.
