I tried a couple of search terms and didn't find a post on this. Does the placement, or position of the plants in the nursery matter? Should I put my biggest plants by the gate, or move the sold ones to the edges? Just wondering if certain spots in the nursery sell better than others, or if it is only the plant health/price.

I think it is more of a personal preference. I personally put my more expensive plants towards the gate and as plants sell, I move them towards the back of the nursery. My philosophy is it is closer to the front where every one has to go. Not everybody makes it to the back of the nursery. Whether that really has any bearing on the game functions, I don't know but I seem to have good luck this way. \:D

I have found that moving the plants around when sales get slow helps them sell faster. I tend to put them near the gate, too. \:\)

I too have found that moving around the plants that aren't selling helps to get them out. Personally, I prefer the left side when the amount of plants reach the halfway mark, and use a couple of props (bird house, turtle) to catch attention ... seems to work anyways!!! I also prefer to mix them up ... if I have two or more of a particular plant, I separate them and mix them with the others.

Hehe--I don't know what was written into the code (I tend to think logically sometimes!) but I put plants that aren't selling, next to the counter. Also, usually when I'm in the shop, I use the time to do something else on the comp, so I move unsold plants up to the top of the screen so I can see the plants above the other window I'm working in, to know when they're sold. Very unimaginative of me.

thanks all for the advice. I did notice that the customers(and villagers!) didn't like empty spaces next to the gate. I'll try moving plants around a bit. I do use "nursery time" to get other things done!
